Founded in 2016, our mission has always been to combine tradition and innovation, while maintaining an emphasis on both the martial and the art. We recognise the stick and blade fencing systems that form the core of the art of Eskrima, as part of the intangible cultural heritage of the Philippines, and take seriously our role as custodians of the martial methods that have been taught and entrusted to us. Our goal is to share Eskrima as a means of helping ordinary people to develop extraordinary capabilities with a stick or blade.

 

We are a not-for-profit club. Student fees are used to pay for the training facilities, maintenance of equipment, and support our studies of authentic Filipino martial arts. Our training methods fuse form, flow, and functionality. We believe martial arts training provides a unique set of opportunities through which we can learn to balance strength with suppleness, power with sensitivity, decisiveness with adaptability; along the way developing a capacity to engage in constructive conflict, collaboration and innovation, and the capability to act with empathy and influence, nobility and resilience; promising us the possibility of emerging as a leader in whatever area we put our mind to.
